Introducing Stonewall House
Located in Brooklyn's Fort Greene neighborhood, Stonewall House is the largest LGBTQ+ friendly elder housing development in the country and New York City's first LGBTQ+ Friendly Elder Housing. At 17-stories tall, Stonewall House is comprised of 54 studio and 91 one-bedroom apartments. Our amenities include a roof deck, landscaped terrace, communal lounge, and a laundry room. SAGE NYC, an advocacy organization for LGBTQ elders, operates a 6,800-square-foot community center on the ground floor marked by a cantilevered canopy that extends out at the Myrtle Avenue entrance. Our property name "Stonewall House" is in honor of the 1969 uprising that is often cited as the beginning of the modern LGBT liberation movement, which just marked the 50th anniversary of the event.
